Maintenance Boilermakers and Mechanics – Heavy Mobile Plant

Job Connect is assisting one of Australia’s premier Access Equipment providers as they are expanding their team rapidly. Located in their Darra workshop, the team are looking for quality-focused Maintenance Boilermakers and Fitter/Mechanics to join their experienced and welcoming team.

The team have a positive culture of training and guidance as their equipment is specialized and is used by high risk workers. You will be given the knowledge, equipment and space to turn out quality results rather than be rushed into something mediocre.

 

Ideal Boilermakers will possess:

• Proven experience in MIG Welding – positional welds are ideal but not required, a basic MIG weld test will be done as part of the process to ensure you have the fundamentals
• Demonstrable ability in Fabrication as they do crack repair, modifications to imports and repair of worn mobile plant
• Certification for Structural Welds is certainly very welcome but not required
• A pride in doing clean work, they give room to do quality work and would like a Tradesperson who repays that with a result they will stand behind

 

Ideal Fitter/Mechanics will possess:

• Any experience from servicing Light Vehicles to Forklifts or Mobile Plant
• Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics will be highly regarded but not required
• Versatility and adaptability to various machinery and equipment
• Openness to take direction on work method as their machines are specialized and they would love to guide Trades staff in approaches that consistently give a quality result
• Ability to communicate with a range of support staff and enjoy a team dynamic – many hands make light work!

• Stable Monday to Friday shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm + optional Saturdays
• Optional Saturday overtime available for those who wish to earn more
